Sankaz "Chatz"
> MAX (Andy Malex):
Pol, can i ask you something?
> Pol Sanchez (Sankaz):
Sure
> Pol Sanchez:
Go ahead
> MAX:
Why you started music?
> MAX:
I mean for real
> Pol Sanchez:
Why? I started many years ago ( even though I stopped many times due of lack of motivation ) because a couple of friends made music and I got into it fast. I really loved to make melodies. More or less that’s how I started. I was like 16 years old.
> MAX:
I see… but what is your motivation? The one that you had lack of?
> MAX:
Was it inspiration lack or results lack?
> Pol Sanchez:
My motivation is to be able to be someone in music industry. I know it’s quite difficult but I guess it’s not impossible.
> Pol Sanchez:
I guess both
> MAX:
Its not impossible
> MAX:
And also
> MAX:
It depends who that someone is
> MAX:
Kind of what step on the stairs you would like to settle down on, or keep moving and falling few steps back
> MAX:
But you know yeah, you are already a good enough you
> Pol Sanchez:
My first step would be having a song played at a club or festival. That would be a nice goal.
> MAX:
I mean you make great music, which people enjoy
> Pol Sanchez:
I don’t know…
> MAX:
But you love to be an artist?
> Pol Sanchez:
I love it
> MAX:
Like, artist that doesnt take others rules and “fix this and that and we will see”
> Pol Sanchez:
I am a music obssesed honestly.
> Pol Sanchez:
I listen to music 24/7
> MAX:
But are you flexible to agree with terms if you need to get somewhere?
> Pol Sanchez:
What do you mean with terms?
> MAX:
I mean, for example record label offers you a deal or a release for start. They ask you to do a lot of changes in your track to be product ready or by their sound and template
> MAX:
At least that part
> Pol Sanchez:
Hmmm well I don’t make perfection so yes, I guess I’d accept changes if it’s for the better of everybody.
> MAX:
Its a tricky shitty moment
> MAX:
Usually artists dont feel like doing that
> MAX:
I mean i know it by myself
> MAX:
It took me years to learn to adapt to “client” or audience
> MAX:
But usually it worked very well
> MAX:
But!
> MAX:
You know why we choose your tune?
> Pol Sanchez:
If I was Alesso I’d do whatever I want but I’m nobody so I guess, for now, that I have to adapt.
> Pol Sanchez:
No, why?
> MAX:
Because that actual track more reflected your artistic side.
> Pol Sanchez:
Really? I like that!
> MAX:
My opinion that if we all make music like the most of people, why would record labels need artists with ideas of their own?
> MAX:
Theres AI for that crap
> MAX:
In our case we really love your tune, it has something that we feel is out of you and is there for no other reason but to make a good record you enjoy
> Pol Sanchez:
I absolutely agree with that
> MAX:
I can hear you didnt bother with template there
> MAX:
You just have been you
> Pol Sanchez:
That’s right
> MAX:
But i can see, that if you put that dedication, you will not only be able to remain an artist, but become a professional artist
> Pol Sanchez:
Thank you man
> Pol Sanchez:
I appreciate your words a lot
> MAX:
So, you know, i wish you make something big, become what you really dream to be
> Pol Sanchez:
I wish it too 🙏🏻
> MAX:
And if it wont be with us - i will at least know we been there for you
> MAX:
Thanx Pol
